1979 Legacy Society

The 1979 Legacy Society commemorates a dedicated group of volunteers who were referred to as the "Friends of Hospice." This group, under the leadership of Reverend Paul Brenner, the founder of The Foundation of Community Hospice & Palliative Care, actively advocated for hospital licensing from the State of Florida. Their unwavering commitment yielded results in 1979 when the licensing and incorporation of Hospice of Northeast Florida were accomplished.

By leaving a planned gift to The Foundation of Community Hospice & Palliative Care, those who follow the path laid by our early pioneers ensure the continuity of our compassionate care for generations to come. This dedication also guarantees that our services remain pertinent when families need it most.

Membership in the 1979 Legacy Society is simple and no immediate gift is necessary. Name The Foundation of Community Hospice & Palliative Care as a beneficiary in your will, trust, insurance policy, or other estate planning vehicle and send a notification to The Foundation at [email protected] or call 904-886-3883.
